Let's play a game. Shall we? I like to scrabble around my wardrobe, it's time to be creative. Before getting into the main topic, I would like to share to you guys a personal story of mine. Let's be honest here I bet the first thing that comes into mind was (This is going to be a one hell long of a boring paragraph) well believe it or not, it ain't.
Cut to the chase, I used to be one of those "emo girls". All that I wanted to wear on an every daily basis was black and only black. Well, yes green is the new black or in this case the other way around but don't you think that it's just plain old' boring? They say you can never go wrong with black, totally agree. The only color that I wanted to wear back then besides black was white. What else pairs perfectly with the darkest color, resulting from the absence or complete absorption of light? Like white and grey, it is an achromatic color, literally a color without hue. Playing with contrast of colours are what I'm pursuing for. I was like, hey I'm getting bored of my style should I go for a change? When you're happy don't you feel like wearing something that shines, gives you that pop of colour? I believe that colour changes mood, not only yours but to the person you're with too in that particular time. Like what they say, "Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak." So, I change the way I dress and styled myself in different ways - it's the tricky part right here, get out of your comfort zone. I mean it, in everything you do besides fashion that is. Don't be a snail or tortoise who won't come out of it's shell. Another quote to live by, "A pearl is worthless as long as it is in it's shell." and even though you might heard this phrase for a thousand times but it's true, "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." Nevertheless, I started pairing up garment pieces - not too over the top just in the right amount of "sugar, spice and everything nice" should I call it that way?
Today, I'm channelling something a bit' rebel. Army green oversize jacket just the way I like it, oversize - from Zara. Those cute patches are just too hard to resist. Besides loose garment pieces, I love textures, a little furry friend from a random store I ran into at Singapore. Oh and did I mentioned that I love Gucci's latest F/W collection back in 2016? Kept eye-ing on this particular heels while I was scrolling down through Vogue archives on the latest fashion show a while ago and a bad habit will always stay as a bad habit *maybe* so there you go, yay or nay?
